Segrate Town hall has been designed in 1963 by Guido Canella, an important figure in the Italian architecture of the last century.
The building has been abandoned for several years; the renovation project involves transformation of the building into a civic center with a public library, a music and art school, auditorium and public offices. The project is also about conservation and restoration of the complex facades system made of cast and in situ concrete elements. The intervention is also trying to link the building with the public space all around and with Aldo Rossi square nearby.
